Brent Spiner, whom you may know as Data from Star Trek: The Next Generation, is starring in a web sereis called “Fresh Hell”. While I’m prevented from embedding it here, I will say if click on this link you can watch it on YouTube. Don’t worry, you’re not ripping anyone off. This is a series designed to be watched on YT. The gist is that apparently Mr. Spiner did something horrible and that’s what caused his career to crash and burn. Hilarity, as they say, ensues.

We live in interesting times, where actors with some cache and others who are building careers (and Mr. Spiner may be a bit of both here) are looking to the internet to add to their quiver. I can’t say that I blame them. With the success of Dr. Horrible’s Sing Along Blog and The Guild, I think we’ll see more people going in this direction. Personally I’m hoping for some horror or maybe some good straight science fiction.
